Since our Declaration of Independence in 1963, the people of Singapore are not involved in any war with any nation of the world.

We do not hesitate to offer help to any country in the world if they are in any trouble.

Our people are peace loving, humble, helpful and innocent. We are never jealous of any wealthy nation of the world and we strive to work hard towards prosperity of our small little red dot.

Our children are brought up in an educational system that focus on loving our mother earth and going green. Our kids are taught to be efficient and hardworking and to love all the different races of our country and the world.

Our citizen pledge in our national pledge to be tolerent of all legitimate religions in the world.

And yet, our fellow beloved citizen is put down by the terrorist in India. She, a citizen of Singapore, never held a gun or weapon in her hands all her life. Weapons are illegal and banned in Singapore.

And yet, without any weapon in her hands to defend herself, the peace loving Singaporean was put down by the terrorists.

Its horrible how terrorists has make the world chaotic.. If god is watchin, please.... I hope karma befall on them and they should not die so easily. Sometimes i feel that the US who torture the terrorist did the right thing. They deserve no sympathy and no human rights...

Ms Lo Hwei Yen will be missed by the all the Singaporean... Just like Kelvin said, though I also dont know her, but I will still miss her...

Ms Lo Hwei Yen you are our hero!! My condolences to her family and may Hwei Yen rest in peace!!

Anonymous said... @ November 30, 2008 at 9:53 AM

Uh, you don't give your life to a terrorist attack. It doesn't even make sense. You give your life to a cause, give implying your contribution was voluntary.

How in the world do you give involutarily, what's more to neither movement nor cause? The correct word should be "lost" and not "gave".

You were a beautiful person . . .

Dark is the world when fellow human beings can call terror a job . . .

Enclosed herewith my sincere condolence to Ms Lo’s family. However, I really wonder if there would be the same amount of coverage if the victim is a 50 years old, middle-class, average looking, unpopular man who happened to be there on a tour with his lifetime saving?

Dear Hwei,
Hope you don't mind the freakish attention heaped on you these past few days. I am sure you must be wondering who are all these creepy people whom you had no interest in, and now behaving like they were separated from you at birth. Don't worry bout Michael. He orgainsed a really good farewell party for you. There was even champagne. Someone claimed that you'd like to have a stylo function so everyone dressed in designer black. So cool, like Hollywood Oscar night. All things considered, I know you'd rather be alive than dead for this tribute. But unfortunately, there are too many people feeding off your demise. Guess what ? you are the Angel of Singapore ! I am sure you are now laughing at the stupidity of it all. Enjoy it while you can. Or at least until all the lonely people of this country finds another dead chick to fawn upon.
God Bless.

Love
Kiat
